Joseph Campo Mail
Director, St. Francis House, Brooklyn New York; Executive Producer, Grassroots Films Inc., New York, United States

Joseph Campo is the director of the St. Francis House for Young Men in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 1967 by Father Benedict Groeschel, CFR, the St. Francis House was created to break the cycle of poverty, and provide a safe haven for young men who need a second chance in life. For over 20 years, Campo has served as a drug and alcohol counselor to the residents, and fulfills the role of "surrogate father" to these young men. He does all that is necessary -- from overseeing homework, to supervising household chores, to personal counseling. Campo's most important responsibility, however, is to foster a caring and loving home environment in order to provide the stability that these young men have never known.

Joseph is also Executive Producer of Grassroots Films, Inc, an independent film company born out of the St. Francis House. A native New Yorker, he developed an interest in photography early on.  Joseph's passion for art matured into a career in film-making as a producer, cinematographer, and still photographer. He has produced the award-winning documentary The Human Experience, as well as other notable ad spots, short films, and commercials. He has two adult sons, Michael and Christopher.
